We will not have a float in this year’s parade, but we will walk the parade route ahead of the parade itself. OPEN (Organization for Political Enlightenment and Networking)’s first monthly discussion will be held in CSU room 238 from 7:00-9:00. The topic will be the Declaration of Independence. Facebook users RSVP here, or just show up.
We will have our July meeting at MSU in the Centennial Student Union from 5:30-6:30 in room 238. We’ll discuss upcoming summer and early fall activities. Bring books, etc. to share or swap if you wish.
We are not having a Campaign for Liberty float in the St. Peter parade this year (they were full when I called to register!), but we will distribute materials along the route ahead of the parade. We’ll be at the start of the parade route (S. Washington Ave) at about 9:20 and will start walking from there at 9:30. Bring something to drink and a backpack to carry extra handouts along with you. I think the route is about one mile. We can also pass things out in the park after the parade. Hope to see you there!
The North Mankato Fun Days parade is Saturday, July 11, at 11:00. No political floats are allowed in this parade but we can distribute materials along the route. More details to follow.
